Ghana Represents at Mission ShakthiSAT, India

Mission ShakthiSAT is an ambitious and groundbreaking initiative by Space Kidz India, aimed at empowering girl children globally by giving them the opportunity to participate in the design, development, and launch of a satellite aimed at the lunar orbit.

It's vision is to involve 12,000 girls from 108 countries, selecting 108 girls per nation, to come together in a collaborative effort that transcends borders, cultures, and divisions. Through hands-on learning and international cooperation, the mission aims to shatter stereotypes and create a new generation of female leaders in space technology.

The programme involves selecting ambassadors, known as "Devis," from 108 countries, who each mentor 10 to 108 girls through a comprehensive 120-hour curriculum covering physics, mathematics, coding, PCB design, and HAM radio. The programme targets girls aged 14 to 18 years, offering all training online.

Representing Ghana in this bold global journey is Dr. Diana Amoni Ntewusu, a researcher at the Science and Technology Policy Research Institute of the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR-STEPRI). Dr. Ntewusu is the ShakthiSAT Ambassador for Ghana who is leading and mentoring Ghana's contingent.

Under her ambassadorship, Ghana's mentee Miss Winifred Abrokwah, Level 200 Biomedical Engineering student at the University of Ghana, is participating in Mission ShakthiSAT in India.

Together, they are part of a programme that is a bold global journey to ignite curiosity, courage, and a lifelong passion for STEM and space exploration. United across continents, these future pioneers are stepping into the world of satellites and discovery; shaping humanity's future among the stars.
