Dr. Roland Asare is a Senior Research Scientist at the CSIR–Science and Technology Policy Research Institute (CSIR–STEPRI), with over a decade of experience in leading multidisciplinary research and policy initiatives across Africa. His work focuses on science, technology and innovation (STI) policy, sustainability, environmental management, and R&D systems development.

He has coordinated and contributed to several high-impact national and international projects funded by organizations such as AUDA-NEPAD, UNESCO, GIZ, and the European Union. His expertise spans innovation systems, environmental impact assessment, green economy transitions, and data-driven policy development.

Dr. Asare holds a PhD in Earth Science from the University of Ghana, an MBA in Finance from the University of Leicester, and an MSc in Environmental Engineering from the Technical University of Denmark. His work continues to support evidence-based policy, sustainable resource management, and innovation-driven development in Ghana and across the continent.
