CSIR Inducts New Director General

The Council for Scientific and Industrial Research, (CSIR), Ghana has a new Director General (DG). The event which was the 7th in the series of inductions of a Director-General for the Council was attended several high profile personalities which included all the living past Director-Generals of the Council, Directors of the 13 Research Institutes under the council, civil society organizations and other personalities. There were also in attendance representatives from the National Development Planning Commission, Ministries, Departments and Agencies. The event was held at the CSIR-STEPRI auditorium on the 13th of May 2022.

The new DG is in the person of Professor Paul P. Bosu, an Associate Professor of Entomology. Prof Bosu until his appointment to the highest office was the immediate past Deputy Director General of the CSIR, Ghana from Jan 2019 to April 2022. He is an accomplished Scientist who has to his credit over a hundred refereed journal publications  

The induction ceremony and the administration of the oaths of office and secrecy were conducted by the Chairman of the CSIR governing Council, Prof Robert Kingsford Adabor. Before the induction, the symbol of office was dedicated to the glory of God by Rt. Rev Edward Ofori Donkor of the Bethany Methodist Church, Dzowulu

The Guest of Honor was the representative of the Minister of Environment Science technology and Innovation (MESTI)
