Results Achieved in the Quarter:

During the reporting quarter, a writeshop was conducted from 10–13 March 2026 to advance project outputs and deliverables, resulting in the development of two policy briefs. Additionally, Dr. Letsa and Micheal Ampoe participated in the Africa Climate Intervention Research Hub’s workshop on Solar Radiation Modification (SRM) held from 19–20 February 2026 in Accra, Ghana. The project team also took part in Ghana’s National High-Level Technical Convening on SRM, organized under the Office of the Minister of State in Charge of Climate Change and Sustainability in Accra, where the AskGovSRM Project presented an overview and key findings.

Way Forward

As a way forward, the project will prioritize the completion of two manuscripts currently under development: “Enhancing Multi-Stakeholder Engagement and Impact on Solar Radiation Management (SRM) in Ghana: Insights from a Net-Map Analysis” and “Assessing Public Understanding and Governance Expectations of Solar Radiation Management in Ghana.”

In addition, a collaborative research and knowledge exchange visit to the Philippines is scheduled for 13–17 April 2026 under the AskGovSRM project, to be followed by a reciprocal hosting of partners from the Philippines in Ghana from 20–25 July 2026.

A policy dialogue is also planned for July 2026 to further disseminate findings and engage key stakeholders. The project will conclude this phase with the completion of all outstanding outputs and deliverables.
