The CSIR-STEPRI is implementing a project to develop a National Policy and Technical Regulation for Aflatoxin control in food in Ghana. As part of this policy development process, the institute is undertaking a Situational Analysis (SA) to understand the context and issues that the policy will address.
As part part of this situational analysis, we are conducting a Knowkedge, Attitudes and Pracrtices (KAP) survey to access the the level of awareness in aflatoxin contamination. It is also using the survey to access the health and economic effects of aflatoxin contamination and how to control their occurance among maize and groundnut farmers in the Greater Accra, Brong Ahafo and Northern regions.
The project is being funded by the Alliance for Green Revolution in Africa (AGRA).
